I described in my previous post how the LANDIS-II source code ended up in a Subversion repository at Google Code in 2011. In March of last year, Google announced its plans to shut down Google Code. Four days later, I posted the news to the developers Google Group, which initiated a community discussion.

I just discovered today that this discussion has been deleted from the Google Group!

Fortunately, I still have the email messages from that discussion. I’ll address this egregious censorship in a future post, but for now, I’m archiving the discussion here, so it’s available online somewhere.
